Unfortunately, due to the flooding and other circumstances we were unable to compete at this years State Championships.
As an alternative, we would like to have a social paddle to Como on the 29th May followed by lunch at the Como pub. Numbers permitting we envisage having two boats make the journey to Como. It will be a one way paddle only, and the boats will be trailered back to Sandy Point.
- Boat 1: Do a bit of exploring on the way making it a longer paddle.
- Boat 2: An easy level 2 paddle direct to Como boat ramp.
Any members who prefer not to paddle but would still like to attend are very welcome to make their own way to Como and join us for lunch.
The invitation is open to all regular, bran nu day and Dragon pass members that would like to come along. It will be a great social event to put what has been a fairly noneventful season behind us and launch into what we hope to be a much better year ahead. If you have a friend or partner that would like to experience dragon boating, a social trip down the river on boat two would be a great opportunity, or they are more than welcome to meet us at the Pub.
